Creative Arts

  • Arts & Crafts

Each PASA student enjoys a weekly visit to the art studio– an incredible emporium of all things creative! The children are introduced to a variety of visual arts materials, taught about master artists, and are given the opportunity to begin to think critically and creatively. Each child receives a portfolio of his/her museum-quality masterpieces at the end of the school year. Click HERE to read an amazing article about our locally famous annual Art Show.

  • Music

PASA's music program introduces children to the basics of music where their creativity and expression can shine! The children sing, dance, and play a variety of musical instruments in a wonderful cacophony that seems unique to PASA. As children enjoy the wonders of music, they are unknowingly building the skills necessary for reading and math readiness. Children showcase what they've learned during a Christmas Pageant, ‘Arty Parties’ and Fine Arts Week in May.

  • Chapel

Chapel, or "Godly Play" is the art of using Christian language —parable, sacred story, liturgical action, and silence—to make meaning in our daily lives. Children do not merely listen. The sacred objects in a Godly Play classroom, made of wood, fabric, and wicker, invite children to touch, feel, and enter into the stories. Moreover, having beautiful things designed for them makes it clear to the children in a tangible way that their religious education is important. We welcome families of all faiths to our PASA community.

  • Movement

PASA's movement classes are weekly and encourage all children to develop gross motor skills and engage in physical activity. The school utilizes our parish hall, which is a large indoor multipurpose room, for activities including mini-Olympics, parachutes, tumbling, obstacle courses, yoga, and aerobics. Movement may also take place outdoors on the playground. Movement class is a good time for children to learn about developing healthy habits for life.
