PASA’S Inclement Weather Policy
PASA will always defer to AACPS when making decisions about delays and/or closings. Parents will receive notification via Brightwheel regarding any delays or closures.
If AACPS are closed, PASA will be closed.
If AACPS opens 1 or 2 hours late, PASA will follow a modified schedule. Details of our modified schedule can be found below.
PASA will be open from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
Morning carpool will operate from 10:00-10:15 AM.
Afternoon carpool will operate from 1:00-1:15 PM
There is no Breakfast Club on modified schedule days.
Lunch Bunch, full-day programs, and enrichment programs will end at 3:00 PM.
All students must bring a nut-free lunch to school.
PASA staff will arrive at 9:30 AM and leave at 1:30 PM unless staffing an Extended Care program.
If AACPS has a scheduled day off and there is a weather issue, PASA will make an independent decision regarding delays or closings.
If AACPS calls for an early dismissal due to inclement weather, Lunch Bunch, full-day programs, and enrichment programs will be canceled.
When an evening meeting or event is scheduled, and there is a threat of cancellation due to inclement weather, please check our website for updates up to one hour before the event.
The decision regarding your child's attendance is always yours to make, and we want to assure you that we completely understand and respect your choice if you decide to keep your child home.
